Hi all,
I'm sure this is a common issue and I'm hoping there's an equally common easy fix. But when I upgrade to a newer version of a plugin - eg: Guitar Rig 5, and I load an old project, it looks for Guitar Rig 4, can't find it and says VST can't be found. No matter I have a newer version, however, I was using a particular preset, or even a custom patch before - how do I bring that across and use in the upgraded plugin?
Do I have to leave both the new and old versions installed to do this?
Upgrade to newer plugin - but lose my project settings...

Yes, but plugin companies have their own individual import/export and upgrade processes. Check with them.
Also, consider bouncing your tracks to uncompressed audio. It's currently universal, and more than likely, will be timeless.
