Stopping a clip

I try to stop a clip from Push in Session mode. Right now the only way I found is to "start" an empty clip from the same track, like I would mouse-click on a clip with the "stop" square on it.

In Live manual I read the following sentence (sorry it's french manual): "Vous pouvez arrêter toute musique dans une piste en activant le mode Stop et en pressant le bouton de contrôle d'état de cette piste." = you can stop music on a track by activating Stop mode and pressing the state button of that track.

It took me some time to find that damn STOP button, but unfortunately when combined with the track state button it doesn't seem to have any effect, unlike Solo and Mute which do exactly what can be expected.

Am I missing something obvious?
