Sorry if it has already brought up before, since I have scrolled through a bit but can't find anything related.
this is my situation.
I have APC40 and recently bought Push. the other i tried to use both together.
when I was playing notes on push, I wanted to change another clips on different channel with APC40.
once I launched another clip, the push also changed to that channel which is not what I wanted.
I tried to lock the device for push but right-clicking the device head and set lock to push, but it didn't work.
I can only achieve what I want by using the scene button. but I found it is not quite fit my workflow.
any advices are welcome.
maybe you can give me a solution, or even a better way to do so.
Thanks in advance

Re: how to lock Push on certain device
would love a solution to this problem as well..
when playing live, i want to use push exclusively as a drum sequencer (locked to one specific drum rack device) while using my apc40 to launch clips, effects and so on.
okay so i found a workaround that works for me. look here: https://www.ableton.com/answers/on-apc- ... -selection

I'm trying to view a recorded clip which also has a melody line in it, while recording a new clip on another channel. I tried the above but it doesn't seem to work? Is this possible… I know I can bring them into the arrange so that I have full view but this is causing extra steps.
