Duplicate device WITH Midi mappings

Post by davaughn » Thu Aug 29, 2013 2:58 am

Hey y'all-

I making some production project templates and setting up a lot of tacks beforehand. There are some devices that in some sets, i'd like to be on all tracks and be controllable by one knob. For example, I want a "pitch" device before all midi tracks so I can quickly change keys. I want to map the transpose to a knob. Instead of manually mapping each one to the knob, is there a way to map one, and then copy it to the other tracks and keep the MIDI mapping? I tried copying it and also just duplicating the track and changing the VST but neither one kept the mappings.

I imagine I'll want to do this in the future with several devices so that's why I don't just do it once now and not worry about it.

Thanks
-D

Has no one encountered this before? There's got to be a better way. Plus if you want to add an additional instrument, you'd have to remap it.
