LFO MIDI speed not saved with project?
Hi,
Anyone noticed the LFO's speed is not saved with the project while other settings are?
Midi LFO from the M4L Essentials.
Thanks,
Frank

Re: LFO MIDI speed not saved with project?
I've experienced the same. It seems to only be a problem when the LFO is in SYNC mode, in free/FREQ mode the rate is recalled just fine, so I often just calculate the Hz for 1/16th notes etc. to circumvent the problem (depending on the tempo and note division it may not be possible to get it exactly in sync with 0.01Hz resolution, but that has its own charm). Another nuisance is that after a crash all the mappings disappear, which can turn into quite the puzzle to set back up in projects with many LFO midi devices (is there any other kind?
).

Ok, thx. I'm renaming my LFO's now to where they're mapped and what speed they are on. Annoying but at least I'm able to recall the original settings.

You can fix it by editing the M4L app itself.
The default setting for the sync frequency is wrong.
What you need to do is to open the M4L app and find the values for the sync rate knob. There is a check box for "automated and stored." Make sure it is checked.
It's been discussed on the forum before, here is the link

Re: LFO MIDI speed not saved with project?
Would anyone who has fixed this issue be able to either do a step by step guide or take a screenshot of where you can find the parameter that needs to be fixed? I poked around in the M4L editor but couldn't find what was described.
Re: LFO MIDI speed not saved with project?
I have uploaded the device file for the updated LFO MIDI object at the link below, I also included a screenshot and vague explanation of how to do it:

Re: LFO MIDI speed not saved with project?
There was several little bug with some of these m4l devices that was reported during 9.1 beta. Fixes have been done, but strangely the last m4l update didn't include the fixed devices...
Re: LFO MIDI speed not saved with project?
I've experienced at least some other problems with the LFO MIDI object, any idea where we can download these fixed devices?
