Xenophoby is when you are afraid of different cultures (e.g. "islam terrorists") and make wars "exporting democracy". Or the KKK. Not my case, sorry.Steve Ballmer wrote:My apologies. So we both agree that you're a xenophobe. Glad we could sort that out.

Curiously enough, my dictionary defines xenophobia as an intense or rational DISLIKE of people from other countries. So yeah, you're just another brainwashed xenophobe.
Btw, I like how by implication, you're suggesting that 80-90% of all Americans are making wars.

Re: Elisabetta
you see, it works like this: in islam countries, african countries and like, people just think: america is a democracy? this means american people decide for war and crimes, because their government is just the mean of their will, not something different. So, if america makes war and commits crimes against us, it means american people make war and crimes, as a logical sillogism. Only 10-20% of americans are aware of the paradox of a "democracy without democracy". In other words, as I already said, the U.S.A. is not a democracy, but a military dictatorship. But 80-90% americans believe they live in a land of "freedom and democracy". Actually, even if 90% of american people were against the war, their government would however make it. But, since the U.S.A. propagandise "our war is for democracy, american people decide", people outside U.S.A. hate american people, because they don't understand America is a fake democracy. They just think americans are the ones who decide for war, since they live in a democracy (from greek: "people rule and decide").Steve Ballmer wrote:Curiously enough, my dictionary defines xenophobia as an intense or rational DISLIKE of people from other countries. Conclusion:
(1) America is a fake democracy? If yes, it is a military dictatorship, and american people are brainwashed.
(2) America is a real democracy? If yes, americans are criminals, because they decide for war and crimes.
Re: Elisabetta
The U.S. has never been a democracy, I don't even know how calling The U.S. a democracy even started but its bullshit (maybe some one here can explain this to me).
The U.S. is a supose to be a Republic but since the representatives of the people don't listen to the people The U.S. is a dictatorship.
Its also "my opinion" that a lot of the people here are still brainwashed but again in my opinion it seems to mostly be the "baby boomer" generation (people in their 60's) who are stuck in their shit ways of doing things and refuse to retire to let people with better judgement make decisions.

Re: Elisabetta
In my opinion at least 80-90% of american people believe the U.S.A. is a democracy, because they have lots of movies, popstars, comedians, different opinions, tv shows, football heroes, "freedom of expression", junk food, some drugs, porno etc. ("fake democracy": ancient romans called this "panem et circenses"). They simply ignore that in a real social democracy hospitals are free, schools work, you cannot be fired at once (it is forbidden), there is no death penalty, no KKK, no racism etc. So called american "freedom of speech" is tolerated because it is harmless for american capitalistic/military system, not because of democracy. The proof: one can say (theoretically) whatever he wants in america, but as soon as someone there tells the truth about american crimes and/or talks about socialism, they put him in jail, ban him or just kill him, calling him "antiamerican", "terrorist", "enemy", "betrayer" etc. And most of american people believe it, thanks to brainwashing propaganda. As already said, China, Russia and such are the same shit as the U.S.A. but at least they don't claim to be "the land of freedom and democracy". That is why the rest of the world hates U.S.A. and americans in general: because of hypocrisy (the ones aware of the fact the U.S.A are a military dictatorship) or because of wars and crimes (the ones who don't live in a democracy and, believing the U.S.A. is a real democracy aka "ruled by people", don't understand why americans are so evil and make all those crimes).

Well since you claim that 80-90% of all Americans "make wars", then we must assume that you believe that America is a real democracy and that they are not brainwashed.myrnova wrote:(1) America is a fake democracy? If yes, it is a military dictatorship, and american people are brainwashed.

So now, not only are you a xenophobe, you're also an inconsistent xenophobe. Good for you.

A
–––––––
B
This much is clear. However, in your case, it could seem to the mentally challenged that I was attempting to derive the existence of A from B. That is:
If A then B
B
–––––––
A
And indeed, this would be fallacious, because it does not take into account the possibility that B could occur independently from A. That is:
If A or C then B
B
–––––––
A or C
However, your setup precludes any possibility of C:
Either (1) and not (2), or (2) and not (1)
If and only if (1) then "Americans are brainwashed"
If and only if (2) then "Americans wage wars"
"Americans wage wars"
–––––––
(2)
Hence, according to the immutable laws of logic, you are contradicting yourself when you claim that Americans are brainwashed.
And you're still a xenophobe.

Re: Elisabetta
No, again it is you. You make a useless mess, just because don't understand such simple logic ("C" element was obviously understood), even if you think you are so smart and understand complexity.
(a) the U.S.A. claim to be a real democracy
(b) democracy means "power and decisions to the people"
(c) then it's american people who have the power and decide to make war and commit crimes (in a democracy the government is just the mean of the popular will).
consequence: people of the world hate americans, because (being the U.S.A. a democracy) americans are evil.
(a) the U.S.A. claim to be a democracy, even if american people are aware of the fact this is not true
(b) the U.S.A. government makes war (against popular demand) because the U.S. is just a fake democracy.
(c) Americans are not able to make a revolution and avoid all this shit, they only want superheroes, junk food, football, sex, some drugs, mcdonalds and such idiotic crap given by the state, this is enough for them in order to think they live in a democracy. (See ancient romans' "panem et circenses").
Consequence: the rest of the world can see most of americans (80-90%) behave like dumb: it is the only people who can accept the "democracy without democracy" paradox only because they are happy with cheesy movies, junk food, some football and comedies on tv, popstars and such. Facepalm for americans' ignorance, indifference and hypocrisy. The 10% who try to change things in america are called "enemies", "antiamericans", "communists" (as if it was a bad word) etc.
Very simple.
These are the only two options in America, and they are both sad. Third option is called "socialism" (which in the U.S.A. is forbidden, being the U.S. a military/capitalistic dictatorship).

I like her. I really do.
You, forum members with US&A citizenship, are trying to convince Myrnova as well as some other "lefties" (including myself...) here that there are social aware and anti-imperialistic Americans which don't support US&A hegemony in the world.
The point is that you are none of them.
Despite all your attempts you represent nothing but the typical redneck capitalistic point of view.
And your "democratically elected" so called president will visit us tomorrow causing biblical disturbance in the local traffic...
I really do hope WWIII is coming soon...

Ah, yes, but you admit that the two propositions are mutually exclusive, yet you have cleared stated that both are in fact true. Aristotle would not be pleased.myrnova wrote:No, again it is you. Great. The last thing the world needs now is yet another gung-ho lefty. Just what is it about war and socialism that make them go together so well?Goddard wrote:I like her. I really do.
