Buzzing sound in ableton sets

Post by Illuminator » Tue Sep 10, 2013 2:46 am

Hey all I have had this problem for a long time, and have tried nearly everything. Uninstalling, reinstalling, adjusting the sample count, etc etc.

Basically, everytime I play a set on live and then export, the exported wav file has a few issues

1: I get a long loud buzzing sound that overlays on top of the recorded audio, it can last for a few minutes and completely kills the sound

2: out of nowhere, the sound just starts to fade out, and disappears (even though there is a track playing, no audio is coming out)...after a few minutes it comes back in again

Any troubleshooting tips, or similar experiences I could relate to?

Thanks all

Interesting! I did not experiment the buzzing sound (could it be some reverb vst or some distortion plug-in, those sometimes produce static noises)
BUT I had the sound cutting out phenomenon just as you described the other day. I could not find out what it was by elimination, just that it seemed to go away when the routing of any track was changed. But then the problem reappeared sometime later even with those new settings. But it appeared so sporadic that it was hard to test for.
I never had this problem with Live 8.
Since it didn't crash Live no bug report was generated either... What to do?

Edit:
Oh, I re-read your post: Is your sound only cutting out in the rendered file? For me this happens already when the program is just playing tracks...
