Begginer need some help

Post by mubroo » Mon Sep 09, 2013 11:01 pm

Hello every body!
I'm a begginer, in Ableton and in MAO ! I'm using ableton live to create some electro music in some techno and minimal style, but now that i have been trying a lot to discover all of it by my own, I'm facing something that I need your help for!
My problem concerns the kicks.
I can't make a good, punchy kick , whatever i try to do. I first tried to increase the volume of the kicks, but it only ruined the other instruments. I've tried to find tutorials on the internet, but beeing using the trial version i haven't got all the kicks sample ect ect i can see on those videos.
That's a really boring position for me because whatever music I make, my kicks are just too bad and I can't do anything about it.
So if anyone could link me to a simple begginer tutorial about kicks, or explain me how I can create something that sound good without turning the volume on maximum, that would be really cool !
here is a link to my sounds if you can't understand what I am talking about : https://soundcloud.com/mubroo
