Novation Launch Control - Midi Remote Script For Live 8

Does anyone know if a midi remote script for live 8 exist for the new Novation Launch Control? Novations Documentation says live 8 and 9 have support, but after downloading installing both live 8 and live 9 lite,only 9 has the midi remote script. Fresh piece of hardware with little user documentation it seems.

Just got a message back from support. As of right now, there is only a script for live 9 out. Live 8 will be updated in the unknown future.

So you have the Launch Control?

A question then, can you use it for controlling the parameters of an external plugin? For example the filter and oscillators of Massive? So I can program different user banks, 1 for controlling Massive, another bank for controlling another plugin? Would it remember my settings?

I'm looking for a controller to have a better hands-on aproach for controlling software synths but I want it to remember my settings. So each time I load the plugin, I can start controlling the synth with the knobs without doing the midi learning thing again.

if there is no script, how do I use it? I am having trouble (aka not able to) mapping functions to the launch control's buttons and knobs.

copy/paste this in c:/program data/ableton/your ableton version/resources/MIDI Remote Scripts (program data folder may be a hidden folder so you may need to enable view hidden folders). I'm no computer expert but the shit worked for me so try it

threepeoh: is this remote script supposed to work with live 8? i made a silly mistake by purchasing this before i upgraded to 9... and im not patient enough to edit my own controls for the launch control
