Anyone Here Using Cycling 74 Pluggo For PC?

Post by Hypomixolydian » Thu Aug 04, 2005 12:35 pm

Hi,

Is anyone here using Cycling 74 Pluggo for PC? What is it like? Any good? Crap? The reviews seem good.
How does the authorisation work? Are you given one serial number and it can be used on more than one PC? Or does it have to authorised on seperate machines and that there is a limit on how many pcs you can install on?

Thanks in advance for your responses.

too expansive for what it is in the end. you can get same fx sounds with free vst plugins.

Very good tools IMO! And the way the midi plugos can modulate all the different fx plugos, is very usefull - and not something any freeware plugin can do.
Yes it's expansive - but worth it IMO.´
The package is huge, lots of weird granulizers, randomised filters & delays and nice synths and drumsynths.

Though the authorisation is a bit of a pain, you have to authorise it via email, and it uses pace. But i think it is possible to authorise it for two computers if you ask them.

don't you have CPU problems with the pluggo junior in Live 5.... they act bad on my lap top (freeze, cpu panic, etc), worked great with Live 4. Any ideas?

I'm looking into buying Pluggo but have noticed the following when testing Pluggo Junior and was wondering whether anyone else had experienced the same.

Some of the parameters click when you move them. Particularly ones which deal with delay times etc. I've noticed this particularly on the chamberverb.

Is this normal?

Thanx a lot for mentioning Pluggo Jr - just downloaded it.

(Working fine here but I'm using a Mac so can't help you with your probs)

When I get home tonight I'll have another go and try and come up with an example which does what I'm talking about. If you could perhaps try it and let me know what you fuind that would be great!

If anyone could do a little test for me that would be great.

With the "Average Injector" plugin, move the "Orig Delay" or "Mod Delay Base" parameters on a live signal. I get clicking.

I'm pretty sure it's just that these parameters aren't smooth but I like to double check that I'm not the only one.

Cheers

Holy shit!!!
Regarding universal binaries... "We hope to get those done before the end of the year"

Talk about a longass ETA.
This is the case for max, so i suspect the same applies for pluggo.

Sounds likely. Pluggo is based on the Max/MSP runtime.

Try my little test if you want some free smarties.
