The Ableton Push makes a feature of the ability to move loop braces on drumrack midi clips, which invites you to use loop changes musically.
Unfortunately loop braces changes only move the playhead with a fixed latency of up to 250ms, and the change is not quantised.
This means that to change a drum loop on the "one" I have to press a pad on the push up to 3/16ths ahead of the one, if my track is at 120bpm.
This is quite different behaviour from midi clip triggering with legato, where you can trigger your new clip only a few ms ahead of the "one" with no problem.
Basically I'm asking that the behaviour of midi loop brace changes be brought into line with the behaviour of midi clip triggering w/legato. The ability to quantize loop brace changes would also be useful at some stage.
The large latency when moving midi loop braces is particularly confusing if you switch between midi clip triggering and midi loop brace changes, since you have to consider two different latencies.
This is not a problem with Push, its an old problem with Live that hasn't really been obvious until it was made into a feature on the Push. (I've seen it discussed on M4L forums). I contacted tech support about this, they confirmed this behaviour, and suggested I post a feature request here.
