When I turn on "EXT" sync with any Midi device or Virtual Device all notes I play in Live get cut off immediatly. Also triggering/stopping patches becomes impossible. It looks like Live receives events that it can't handle properly. Curiously, rarely it happens the sync just "works" and no notes get cut off. With all the same preferences set. This is driving me crazy.
I tried getting the external sync clock from
* NI Maschine's Virtual Out as Sync Clock
* Virtual UAC device as alternative
* Clock from MicroKORG connected via USB Midi
... same issue. So the problem must be on the Ableton Live side.
What am I doing wrong? Any advice is highly appreciated.
