What will I miss if change midi keyboard controller to Push?

I've never understand the insistence to choose the Launchpad or some iPad app to mimic what Push covers well with pressure sensitivity. It is so much more of an expressive instrument when you can play the notes with variance in realtime.

Can you imagine buying a grand piano only to discover that the keys are Boolean?

Also good luck with waiting for that 64 pad Maschine or pressure/velocity sensitive Launchpad.

If you should choose to get a first keyboard, don't even fool around with anything less than 4 octaves and pretty normally sized keys.

Those would help in the beginning stage to make it easier and more ergonomic ally comfortable to mess around and learn shit.

Btw, after-touch is a pressure that is controlled During th press of a pad or key, which Push has.

You are absolutely right but I already did this
First I bought 32 mini keys keyboard but then I understood that they cannot replace
full sized keys. Now I have Alesis QX49 but of course 61 would be better

First I wanted to leave something one Push or keyboard but lnow I realize that I will have to leave both.
Got to get some place for all that staff and two guitars snd then monitors and ...

I'm not a very good keyboard player, but I can still get around on one quicker than I can on Push. Hitting certain chords on Push is kinda hard as the buttons are spread out further than a keyboard and sometimes you have to put your fingers in awkward positions. For me a keyboard is easier to play and I still prefer a dedicated mod and pitch wheel. Also, if you're playing sounds that utilize aftertouch It can be kinda hard to play the patch properly as I think the aftertouch on Push is to sensitive.

I agree... Neither Launchpad or Machine come close to the playability of Push... Push is an instrument in the way neither of those are.

I came to conclusion that it is better to either just leave the midi keyboard controller or leave keyboard and buy Push, but keyboard is more important.

What do you think?

I have a midi keyboard and Push. I am not a trained pianist.

Ihe keyboard is gathering dust.

Push is, as they say, totally wicked ,especially with the new note sequencer in 9.1.

too many reasons to list to get one, I'm at work.

I'll just say it's my favourite piece of hardware ever.
