Is there a way to make macro knobs work in steps instead of a smooth transition?
For example I am using a Pitch midi effect I would like it to only change in steps of octaves from say -36 st to -24 to -12 etc. Without going to the values in between.
Is this possible? Or is there any sort of work around?

The workaround is to assign each interval to its own button using Macro Editor Mapping.

Re: Macro knob steps?
You could use a Midi effect rack. Put several pitch plugins with your desired values in it and map the chain selector to a macro knob.
Re: Macro knob steps?
hmm... you could map the macro to a range of keys on your midi keyboard..
The number of keys make the number of steps you'll get...
or maybe try some max shit!
