Magic 8 Ball says "Most likely". I'm guessing the bigger iPad only at first, though the Mini will finally go retina.

I haven't bothered to check the numbers on the sales for the past few quarters but it'd be nice if they did a double with the mini and put in both.

Coming from a "last couple updates have been kinda meh" and "mini's gettin behind" pov maybe it'll throw a nice little spike in the punch?

Based on previous years I should be going WHY HASN’T APPLE ANNOUNCED THE NEW IPAD YET?!?!? about now, but as I’m taking my car into the shop for some major work this weekend and going on vacation for a week, I’m glad they haven’t yet.

I think if you have an iPad 3 or previous gen (they are on the 4) or no iPad I think this next one is going to be the MUST HAVE next gen.

$30 usually. Pretty unique but $30 is pretty steep in iOS dollars. $8 is like two drinks or a posh visit to McDonalds. Fuck it.

Music app developers have become kind of ballsy on their pricing. Nowhere near desktop pricing but enough to make me realize if I didn’t play around much with a $5 synth app I’m not going to get much more out of a $20 synth app. So I’ll pass. Mostly it’s old school legacy companies like Korg or Moog that like to slap the high price on their apps. Worth it to some I guess.

Not sure about the korgs and moogs at the moment but $37 for Lemur sure seems worth it to me.

I kicked down for the Lemur app. Haven't really used it. Just seemed like a good "maybe some day" purchase.

Really the only controller apps I've used are the Omnisphere app and the new Logic app mostly becuase there is like zero setup involved.

I think my time has come. Live Control 2 has been out for a little while and it looks like there's a lot of really cool stuff in their library too. Curious about using it to control thor and loopy. Step sequencers and shit.

Noticed this today, and thought of you circle jerkers.

Compare and contrast the market response.
Apple shares dived as much as 7 percent in after-hours trade after Steve Jobs, who has been on medical leave for an undisclosed condition since January 17, announced he will be replaced by COO and longtime heir apparent Tim Cook.
Microsoft chief executive Steve Ballmer is to retire from the technology giant within the next 12 months.Shares in Microsoft, criticised for its slow response to the booming market for mobile devices, leapt 7.3% on the news.
 That's how you know if you are shit. You can add value by simply leaving.

Got to say, the tweaks to the new Mac Pro look pretty hardcore.
