mapping aftertouch (pressure) to an effect parameter
mapping aftertouch (pressure) to an effect parameter
Got my push on Friday and I've been loving it, with small bouts of frustration kicking in every now and then.
I'm currently trying to map Push's pressure tracking to the monolake formant filter's "formant" knob, but I really don't have a clue where to begin (thanks for the documentation Dennis DeSantis...). My question however, is more general than that really; is it possible to route/map Push's note mode aftertouch to whatever parameter you want in Live, instead of just routing the AT through an instrument (or anything else that natively accepts AT)?

Re: mapping aftertouch (pressure) to an effect parameter
There is an m4l midi effect that can control parameters. It accepts aftertouch, pitchbend, mod wheel, etc. I'm pretty sure at least.
Edit: had to open Live to check haha. In M4L Essentials, 'Expression Control' device.

Just checked it out myself too. Should've looked through my M4L stuff first before posting, but thanks!

awesome! Thanks for this! been looking for a way to map AT in Live easily
Re: mapping aftertouch (pressure) to an effect parameter
This seems great, but it doesn't work for Aftertouch mapping. It maps, but when playing there is no modulation. Suggestions? I run a Nocturn keyboard, though.

So all the pads in push support aftertouch?

Yes, all 64 pads of the centre area support aftertouch.
Re: mapping aftertouch (pressure) to an effect parameter
Me my problem is that in one of my drumrack is featured with aftertouch, it does act when i play with my pads but don't get recorded in my pattern, is there a way around? As well you got that device for M4L
