Just Released: Ultra Analog VA-2 http://www.applied-acoustics.com/ultra-analog-va-2

Hopefully the Analog version of Ableton will get an update too.

What kind of update? It is an integrated instrument and not a VSTi, and not to be a downer, but Ableton doesn't really have much incentive to update one of their already-good instruments for more costs.

Analog in Live was written by AAS, and based off their original Ultra Analog synth.

Tried it. Envelopes seem snappier but it sounds very similar to Analog once you remove all the effects. Not sure there is much of a change to the core of the synth. IMO I would rather have a synth designed by Cytomic than more from AAS.

Couldn't resist the $29 upgrade cost.

For the amount of space they dedicated to the arp, I was kind of hoping that it would do more.

yeah, I think it sounds "warmer" perhaps "rounder" than v.1

much improved efx section, arp section, better user layout with the tabs - better tweak-ability is awesome
small freakin' gui is a big draw-back(I need my old-man glasses)

Yeah the upgrade cost was good so I went ahead and purchased it :)
If anything it'll be worth it for the new presets.

I don't care too much for the extra FX or the UI, yet I would pay to keep the Suite instruments evolving coherently.
