Hi there,
i'm just curious to know how other people manage project and track switching ion stage?
For my live set i use different live projects and when one is finished i have to load the next one. of course while Live is loading i have to use my external hardware synth to have a fluid transition from one track to the other. but for me thats not the best solution.
I thought it would be nice have to instances of Live open so i can start the next track immediately. but it seem that I neither can open two projects at the same time, nor using a second instance of Live. I tried to copy the app, but in this case the second Live app starts in rewire mode.
How do you manage this scenario? do i miss something?.. in my eyes it should be essential to open more projects at the same time

Re: How do you manage project switching on stage?
I have been using Ableton only & just drop everything into one file and group tracks together by song, it's like 75 tracks in 8 groups.
There's sometimes a weird hiccup if switching from a lot of tracks to a lot of completely different tracks - hoping there's some trick to help with this, going to see if starting the new ones one at a time on mute will do it.

Clappings.
in the past, i used to run some soundscapes on a dedicated SP 303.

...er, i use ableton since version 2 on stage, and i never had the idea to play single studio documents one by by one in a performance situation....
it's simply two different planets....the performance document which is the LIVE SET that includes ALL tracks i want to play....and the docs i produced single tracks with....
once you're at the point that you play sets on regular bases, there's no way around preparing a decent doc that represents your stuff in one rush, that is safe, leaves some certain cpu headroom and has a performance mapping which gives the possebility to grab the same knobs on different tracks.....
pre mix your tracks in stems, check for fx routings and stuff to fool around and play with and start to perform....
there is no sense in watching your studio docs running one by one....
thousand ways to do so.....in one decent live performance doc......think about preparing your tracks for this....seriously.....
