A mixer similar to Reason's SSL mixer

It'd be rad to have a full fledged mixer such as Reason 6.5/7.0 which is a super complete SSL, full of goodies we all need.

That's a good one,I think we get that out of the program already. Mixer screen and all of the parameters is I need. We don't need to take away or make a smaller version of the same thing. Unless they apply it to an outboard system,where we could see a fleet of Ableton products similar to Push.

Absolutely not. If you want that level of sound control, in a visual way, it's not possible.
The most you can get from Ableton's mixer is volume, sends and a couple other things.

If you want a fully functional channel strip you need to use plugins and
you'll never be able to see each channel strip side by side
so that you can work efficiently when producing tracks.

Well, as much as I agree with you that the mixer in Reason is amazing (I use Reason too, and I love this thing for sure), I don't think it would make sense in Live. The workflow is completely different (if not almost opposite) between Reason and Live, and the way instruments and effects are put together in a signal path are pretty much on the opposite ends of how it could be done.

It would probably easier to realise something like this in Logic or Cubase or ProTools, but not in Live. Just my 2 cents.

I guess it'd be great for people who are producing music that's going to be both mixed and mastered in Ableton.

I know alot of users do export their tracks and mix them in pro-tools, logic or else, because Ableton doesn't have a proper channel strip.

Ableton has the potential of becoming a full studio solution, where not only you can play live, create ideas and tracks, but also produce professional mixes.
Therefore it needs to step up its game by adding a real channel strip.

Maybe the ones who doesn't need it could just toggle the mix channel on/off or something...
