Scrolling in Windows 7/8 with touchpad
Hello all,
I've read through some other threads about this, but they are all about scrolling horizontally -- what I am wondering about here is scrolling in general in Ableton with a touchpad on a laptop using two finger scroll, namely, on the ASUS Taichi21. It doesn't use a synaptics driver or what not, it uses an ASUS driver, and scrolling in Ableton is really spotty with it. Now, I realize that the stance on this has been that when there is a unified driver set for all of these things that Ableton will support it across the board, but I'm wondering if anyone has any tricks about fixing something like this. I've tried xmouse and wizmouse, to no avail.
Now, I wouldn't be asking about this, if it weren't for the fact that I have other applications that scroll ok, like Studio One.
So, if anyone else has ideas, I'd be open to them. I'd just like to be able to scroll using the touchpad's two finger scroll in Ableton -- and please, no "macs are better" arguments, my macbook had issues of its own with Ableton and I'm not in the mood to repeat them.
Thanks!

As I said, I'm not here for a mac vs. PC war. I'm a a PC guy, and I disagree that their hardware is superior. After going through what I've been through with macs, I'll never pay the apple tax again. I am asking here specifically to see if others have had the issue, and if there are any fixes, on the PC.3dot... wrote:macs are better. (in the hardware department)

I'm a Mac+PC user... afaik there is no solution for this in Windows...
That said, side-scrolling (meaning touchpad drag OR mouse wheel side-scroll) is working in m4l 'edit' mode..
but that's about the only place i know of..
