Velocity & Volume EWQL

I've tried looking through the forums and can't find my answer. I'm new to both Ableton & East West Quantum Leap (EWQL). I wrote a 16-track song in midi and imported it, wanting to try the sounds from EWQL. I can see that there are velocity changes present in the song however they are not triggering any change in volume/dynamics. I don't just want to volume to be higher/lower I also want to dynamics to be harsher/softer. The only other piece to the puzzle I've been able to find is that CC11 controls dynamics for EWQL if I were playing live. I hope someone can walk me through this in layman's terms.
