I have used the beta versions for a wile and I have bought and downloaded several live packs. Now when I installed live 9.1 I have problems to inport all my packs. Im using the same folder. Some packs showing up but are empty. Most packs that are in the folder are not there.
Do I have to reinstall all packs?
I use macbook pro retina late 2013 with mavericks.
Cheers
Problem with my old packs from beta version.

i had a similar issue. either an earlier version of Live 9 – or just betas in general – have a different default location for the Factory Packs folder.
it used to be in at: [User]/Library/Application Support/Ableton/Factory Packs
but is now at: [User]/Music/Ableton/Factory Packs
try finding the Application Support folder and see if you have a Factory Packs folder in there.
if so, move the packs to the new Factory Packs location: [User]/Music/Ableton/Factory Packs
and relaunch Live. all your packs should be available now. worked for me at least.

Are you seeing a rotating circle next to PLACES? If so, it means the Live indexer is still running, and you should wait until it stops.

No I don't se a circle my hard drive is very fast. And I use the same folder as before. It might have to do something with that I moved from PC to Mac. I just copied all packs from the old computer and put them into the packs folder.ark wrote:Are you seeing a rotating circle next to PLACES? Strange that some of them are visible but can't be used.

You mean you didn't actually install the .alp files?Gringostar wrote:I just copied all packs from the old computer and put them into the packs folder.
