Push per note automation & PDC drift

Post by ootheca » Fri Nov 22, 2013 11:59 am

Hey guys. Does any one using push have anything to report on whether the new per note automation feature is affected by the same pdc issues, Or does push just write the automation early dependant on latency?

Sorry to give this a bump, but its a pretty important question for me. Im sure some one must know the answer seeing as pdc has been a hot topic in here for some time now.

For instruments it doesnt have problems at all.

For fx depends on the specific plug in as the normal problems with PDC.

Ah okay as i guessed. So as soon as there are any heavy effects put on the channel does the feature become broken or does push write the automation early to compensate, or is there a way to manually offset the the automation forwards or backwards so that all automation from that point onwards will follow that offset?

Its just that in my mind, this seems like a superb way of potentially getting around the PDC issue, although a slightly expensive one for us punters.

Am i alone on thinking this?

Step automation works exactly the same as automation, it's just a different way to write it, which only makes sense with per step controllers.

So no, it's not a work around.
