Push + Xone K2, overlapping midi
Push + Xone K2, overlapping midi
I have a bit of a problem. I am using Ableton Live 9.1 along with Traktor in a DJ/Live configuration.
I am using a Ableton Push for the clip launching etc, and a Allen & Heath Xone K2 for mixing. The Xone K2 is mapped both to Traktor AND Ableton. I also have a iPad, running Lemur, but it's not affected by this at all..
So anyways. When I press a button on the Xone K2 it light up, just as expected. BUT a pad also starts blinking on the Push until I press the button on the K2 again....It seems like they are running on the same channel. I have opened the Midi-Mapping list and the Xone K2 uses channel 15, and the Lemur uses channel 1.
So. Xone K2 uses channel 15. What channel does the Push use? I run out-of-the-box setting on the Push. Nothing is remapped there.
Is there any possibility to change Push's midi channel?

Re: Push + Xone K2, overlapping midi
Okay. After some more testing it doesn't seem that the midi channels are overlapping. I have changed the midi channel on the K2 from 15 to 10 the problem still remains.
I'm lost here. Something makes the K2 to interfere with Push, or the other way around...
Any suggestions?

Re: Push + Xone K2, overlapping midi
I am experiencing precisely this mess. The K2 is triggering pads on Push.
Hopefully someone will have a suggestion for us.

one of the easier ways may be to disable the xone k2 midi input in ableton preferences midi/sync tab. Or possibly change all your inputs to just push instead of "All Ins"

You have to change configuration in Traktor. In the Preferences / controller manager choose IN-PORT Xone:K2 and OUT-PORT Xone:K2. Not all ports. I have solved problem by this way.

Re: Push + Xone K2, overlapping midi
If you use 2 Xones, just connect them by X-LINK, repeat previous operation and you won't have problem with push
Re: Push + Xone K2, overlapping midi
I have the same problem , only with maschine instead of push, I want the k2 to control some things in machine but it seems to trigger whatever is active in maschine if I hit a rotary or a button on k2 . Can anyone help, I imagine this is a common problem

Anyone??
Re: Push + Xone K2, overlapping midi
Old thread, I know. But the solution is switching of "Remote" on the Traktor Virtual Output in Ableton MIDI prefs
So for anyone passing by, there you go.
