Automating the pitch on Drum notes

Is there any way to set the pitch per note with the new Push step sequencing automation feature in 9.1.. When I do it, it only automates per step, which would be very difficult to try and pitch 808s that play longer than a step.

I've been wanting this too!
We need automation per pad and per step. It's really annoying to program melodic pitched parts on drum racks and filter sweeps etc... On instruments that go longer than a step.
