It's not a synth in the same way Live's instrument racks aren't synths. What I posted before about its filters was sarcastic. In essence, I was mocking the OP, mainly because I'm an introverted, reclusive douchebag. :x

I hate soft synths that take up half your screen because of some shitty soft-keyboard. Your screen is not a keyboard, it's a screen. Seriously, you can't play that shit. :x

I always thought those virtual keyboards were 100% pointless until I got some Kontakt libraries where some of the lower and/or higher keys manipulate or effect the sound of the main keys you are playing. Without seeing them being triggered on the virtual keyboard you might think they are just dead keys in the range.
