There is a tool to do this. It is a french vst that loads up. You disable it and then when you launch it in live it opens up a notepad type interface. I think it's pretty good. I searched this forum as that is where I first heard of it but cannot find the thread. . I have it installed on my studio box and I am not nearby so I cannot check what it's name is. My apologies for not posting a link or more info but I will check when I get there later.

I found the file though not the site. The little app is called Porteplume. If anyone needs it I'd be happy to mail it to them. It's freeware so I don't believe that would be a problem.

I've posted on this very same subject. Protools has it, and in my humble opinion, this is one of the things that makes it so PRO.

Tried porteplume on my Live setup, but it didn't seem to save the text with the project. Tried VstNotes from http://www.proxl.nl and this did the trick! Works perfectly for me, you just type the text and it saves automatically with the track(s).

But again... it would be great to have this as a standard in Live, on project and clip level!

Regards
J
