echo indigo DJ help

Post by buchnaner » Tue Aug 09, 2005 2:02 am

so i just received my echo indigo dj sound card, and when I plug it in, my Apple G4 OS X 10.4.1 freezes. fine. so i go to the echo website and download the newest driver (v 1.3, from 2003) and apparently this version only supports OS X 10.2.

Do they seriously not have a driver version written for 10.4?!?! Or am I overlooking something... fuck, i am PISSED!

anything you guys can tell me would be awesome.

The driver works with 10.2 and up. you should be fine. Just reboot (and read the install instructions from Echo). No problems here...

Once you get it running, you will LOVE this card.

Have you done all the usual permissions repair etc? Also make sure to eject the card via its soft-button before just pulling it out. Maybe/de-re-installing the driver would help, also make sure to to trash any relevant prefs when you do this. Same card working fine in x.4.2 here

I am having this same problem...

Trying to install the drivers for the Indigo on two machines; a TiBook 550 running 10.3.8, and a newer Powerbook 1.33 running 10.3.8...

Both machines freeze when I insert the Echo card, and power on....

I don't even see anything - just hangs or freezes on boot....

I have installed the newest drivers from the site..... what is up?

Sometimes it may take a few install and unistall and reinstall etc. Also remeber to restart after each install.

Ince it powers on without freezing, use the Echo console (separate program from the driver/pref pane) to set up its channels, and the Apple sound pref pane to tell your rig to use the card...

A few folks have had difficulty setting up the card, but once it is set up, it is the balls.
