Please find attached the two PMs I sent David, plus David's reply. If you were to reread that thread, you'd note that I said a lot of things to piss people off which I then REMOVED at the request of both Tom and Finn. I did this, because it was above all an RIP thread, and I didn't want to get into any shit there. And after all, this was Mandela and not Thatcher we were talking about. In contrast, when Tom and Finn requested that you cease attempting to hijack the thread to promote Marxism, you insulted them and mentioned your arse.

It doesn't matter how right you believe your views are, but there's a time and a place for everything, and Mandela's RIP thread was simply not it.

Personally, I would have liked to troll that thread into inexistence, because I have a fierce urge to mock everything, libertarians included (IRL, I can't stand most an-caps), but I also recognise that on a public forum, a certain amount of consideration for other's PERCEPTIONS is required.

Given that you genuinely appear to have a hard time understanding what is and what is not appropriate, and given your claims to have been a child genius, it should not be viewed as cyberbullying but rather idle curiosity to ask if you have ever taken an Aspergers test.
Hello,

I wish to complain about Funk N. Furter's behaviour on the Nelson Mandela thread (viewtopic.php?f=40&t=199993&start=60).

Despite the protests of TomViolenz, The Finn (OP) and myself, he's turned a decent RIP thread into a Marxist spam opportunity.

I find this to be in very poor taste, and I'd appreciate it if you could discuss the matter with him.

Thanks,

Galt
Despite our multiple requests that Funk N. Furter respect Mandela's RIP thread, he has continued to subvert the thread and spam large chunks of text which do nothing but antagonise other forum members.

In response to Finn's plea that he "take it to another thread", he responded "I don't want a fight with you because you have nothing to say that interests me. So shut the fuck up about me", only to then start discussing Marxism again. (viewtopic.php?f=40&t=199993&start=90)

Funk N. Furter has repeatedly shown that he has no capacity for self-moderation, and I must again ask that you talk to him about this matter, if not ban him completely.

Regards,

Galt

Thanks for these. Now that political and religious discussion is gone from the Lounge, these topics will simply be locked or removed. Please continue to report any issues you might notice.

Best,

I light of the time frame involved here, I like to claim at least partial responsibility for the new Guidelines update which bans politics and religion.

Y'all welcome.

Well I'm liking the new atmosphere round here. So much more civilised now without the politics.

Seriously dude, WTF

If this is how you perceive my posting history here, I don't think your opinon has any merit. I'm not even gonna try to defend myself, because it would just be pointless.
Yes... sometimes people can get falsely accused of things... it's a good thing we can remain open-minded and not jump to conclusions, isn't it?

Oh wait...

One half of this forum is accusing me of being a sick puppy, while the other half is posting trees in my honour, and all this based on the behaviour of forum members with whom I've never had a single exchange! Madness!

FFS.

Who else do you admit of having been in the past?
I'm not LSZ, but if you read Finn and Stringtapper's posts in that thread, they clearly suggest that I am, which is why I posted what I posted. That said, I actually appear to have misspoken, given that beatsme doesn't appear to share this view, and he was the initial poster. Sorry for the confusion.

I couldn't have put it better myself.

I was clearly mistaken. I meant to suggest that Galt is actually Banksy.

So just to make it clear:
You maintain that you are Galt on this forum and Galt only, and have never had any other aliases here than Galt. Correct?
Yes, this is correct. I confess I did recently admit to being Mark Walhberg, but this was only in jest.

In fact I can easily say that funken while sometimes obsessing on little things, doesn't troll. The difference here is obvious to others I think, you have the same ethical high point stance as funken in terms of your own sense of self. Funken pisses you off because you have control issues with other people just like he does. In fact the thread that you started your hatred for him in is a great example. You tried to control the comments of other people, and tried to tell other people about how their behavior was. Funken does the same thing, he jumps down people's throats if he thinks they are trying to 'slander' him, and has complained about the attitude of people here, he changes thread titles if the thread doesn't go the way he wants etc. If galt and funken are similar in their obsession with each other and politics, you and funken are similar in your control issues and lack of ability to let go.
If a troll - no names - is someone who likes pissing people off or irritating them for amusement, the most effective strategy is to simply refuse to get pissed off.
Conflict is thereby contained because each person in the transaction is basically in charge of their own reactions and decisions.

If, on the other hand, a forum member (I am speaking generally here) regularly gets extremely upset about real or imagined slights, things are trickier. No-one else can control them, and conflicts will continue to be born, get worse, and escalate until the self-perceived victim (1) learns new behaviours (2) leaves or (3) is banned.
