any updates / tips on browsing user folders on the push?

Post by 132nonamemk\ » Tue Dec 17, 2013 6:45 am

I remember back couple months ago a thread on pulling up our own 3rd party VST / custom samples by using the PUSH. The problem was that the PUSH would only let us access some folders in the category. I want to access my folders in PLACES & my 3rd party plugins..

How are you guys doing this without using the mouse? Have you guys re-arranged the folder locations?

I rack up my VSTs presets, and place them in a folder named after the VST being used, like Zebra. I only rack up my own presets. But yeah, my own folders do show up on Push. Bear in mind that if a folder is empty, it will not be displayed.

If you mean specifically samples, I have not worked with this in conjunction with my own folders yet, as my workflow is such that all my samples are always generated/recorded by me, and always meant for just a specific project.

If it makes its way to a percussive realm, then it might end up in a drumrack which I will store somewhere in places.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that Beta 9.2 is now ongoing, and that one person from Ableton recently posted that they do take into consideration all suggestions even though they don't respond to all. He also mentioned that the most oft-requested ones are looked into more, which is just common sense. Hopefully these browser niggles will disappear eventually.
