I was really pleased to pick up a BCF2000 for £56 the other day in a Cash Converters
, having been eyeing them up on eBay for a time. I want to use it primarily as a mixer tool, and I have it running as a Mackie control surface using the 'NC C' BCF setting. Having scoured forums and the net I see it also runs under another of the Mackie emulation modes in Ableton ('NCSo'). Any advantages/disadvantages to each that people know of, or do they share the same functionality? (And, as most of the info I found is for Live8 and earlier, is there a good guide somewhere to what button/knob does what under 9?)I was also intrigued to see a YouTube vid with someone using it as a step-sequencer with Impulse:

They mention having written their own vst to do this, which is way beyond my capabilities. Anyone have any ideas how to get this kind of thing going? Is there a M4L instrument that will do it for example?
