the USB device drawing too much power has been disabled
Problem JUSt started happening. I had my push for a while now. Out of NO WHERE it started with this message "the USB device drawing too much power has been disabled." I can't use it, any help as to why this would occur and how to quick fix it? I have gigs back to back this week! please help!!!

Things to try:
- change USB port
- change USB cable
- use the power supply of Push
- use a powered USB hub
- google for the error message, there are many discussions on it going on in apple forums

Tried a different USB cable and port, nothing. I tried it on a PC even, it doesn't even see the push or register it. I don't have a powered USB hub. I have been looking around but it shouldn't behave like this all of a sudden.

does the Push power up over USB? what about with the power supply plugged in?

This just happened to me last night. My MacBook Pro gave the error message when I plugged the Push into the USB port and turned it on. So I unplugged it, powered up the Push using the AC adapter, and plugged it back into my mac via USB. No joy. The Push just cycles colors on all of the buttons.

Have you updated to the most recent version of Live? (this seems to break a lot of 3rd Party scripts)
Have you installed any 3rd party scripts for Push? Including any pad colour scheme modifications or nativeKONTROL's Push mods. I've founds these two things are a sure fire way to break Push, until Stray updates the Push Mods, that is.
These might be unrelated to your problem though but it's worth a shot.
Worth noting that this happened to me a while back. Somehow the Push scripts and [something else] became corrupted and Ableton recommended doing a full uninstall of Live, cleaning up any data related to the program (not including your Library of course) Then re-installing. This worked door me.
