How to make a tech house sub-bass

Hello!

I've recently been trying to create a nice deep sub-bass, but I've had no luck getting the sound I'm looking for. If anyone out there has any tips they'd like to share with me to help me out, that'd be awesome, like what VST/synth should I be using, how should I be setting my EQs, etc. To give you an example of the kind of sub-bass I'm looking for, click on the link below.

There are two very helpful Dubspot videos for that:

Buy computer music magazine. There's a special edition just out called mixing dance music. There's a sub bass tutorial in it. Comes with free vsts tutorial vids and also has the able to project file for the tutorial. Available as a digital download
