Hello all,
Having a problem here since recently upgrading to Live 9.For some reason the midi sync seems to be off slightly when syncing my Machinedrum to Live in certain projects.I have it working fine when I create a new project but for some strange reason there have been 2 other Live projects where the sync is off?Cannot get my head around why??I have the midi sync delay set to -30 and the track and sync buttons selected for the outs of my audio interface.
What could be causing this?Oh and I am on Live 9.1 if that is important to know.
Would like to get to the bottom of this!Any help much appreciated!
-Chris
Edit* after testing some more older projects it seems some sync fine at -30 and others do not!But whenever creating a new live set they will always sync fine at -30.Very strange!Never had these issues in Live 8.Also in Live 8 the midi sync delay was set to -39 not -30.

Re: Trouble with Midi Sync (Live 9 and Elektron Machinedrum)
Ok after some more testing it seems this is whats happening. If I create a new set or project the Machinedrum is synced correctly @ -30 midi sync delay. Now here is the strange part!If I add in a VST or midi instrument the sync gos off!If I adjust it to -59.5 it is back to being synced.I tried adding a VST in while the Machinedrum was playing and it crashed live so I will try and send the bug report off.Dunno if that could actually get me a fix?!

That`s why I sold my Machinedrum. I always had sync problems in Live. I never got it to work nicely. The sync issues changed from project to projectt and depended on what you were running beside the Machinedrum. It was just stress and so it went.

Thats a shame you sold your MD!It is a great instrument.I managed to fix this issue last night after many hours of experimenting!!
I had always just created an audio track and recorded right there from the ins of my card. What I did different now was create an external instrument for the Machinedrum and then record onto a separate audio track and it works fine now!Midi is set tot he corresponding channels on my card. Also set to no output,Then set the proper audio channels up under audio from. The main midi sync delay is set to -30 and is synced up quite nicely now!
Hope this helps someone else! What a pain in the ass hehe!
