Midi Mapping "Peak Level Indicator"

Post by brian- » Sat Jan 18, 2014 10:03 pm

Hi Ableton's.

I like to ask if I can map the Peak Level Indicator to a Midi-Controller like Allen & Heath Xone:K2? You can find Live!'s "Peak Level Indicator" in every mixer-section.

Background
I'm using this controller for a DJ-Setup. I like to use the four knobs located on top (please see photo below) for:
  • a) Rotating: For gaining volume. At least no problem to map this.
    b) Pushing: For reset the Peak Level Indicator How is that possible?
    c) Below the knob is a lightning indicator. Is it possible to route the "warning" indication of the "Peak Level" to the indicator of the Xone:K2?
I hope I made my questions clear. If not please don't hesitate to ask me questions.

Thank you very much!

Hey,

thank you for your quick response :)

That's sad. I found a solution. It's some kind of cheating workaround though. I'm using Keyboard Maestro for sending a midi-signal to that app. And that app is pushing that Peak Indicator for me :) How simple is that (not really but it works right?).

So now it's really cool to be able to reset that indicator after you balance the volume-gain with the top-knob. Feels now like a really DJ-Mixer.

Thanks anyway.
Cheers
