hi alex
the behaviour appears just on one set - my main set; using around 800 samples.
i use wavelab5 as external editor assigned to the onboard audiocard (an ac97).
live5 is assigned to mona laptop audiocard.
i use mainly live plugs. just in the main out i use some waves plugs (linearMB, L2)
on live4 this setup works flawless.
my machine:
asus w1n laptop 1,6 Ghz pentium M , 1.2 gb ram, 80 gb hd 5400 rpm,
ati graphics 64 mb ram, winXPpro sp1, echo mona pcmcia laptop,
doepfer pocketDial connected thru an midisport 2x2 usb.
my apps
live4
live5
wavelab5
waves mastering bundle
the machine is a dedicated audiomachine no other apps installed.
l5 freezing appears mainly when i switch to the external wave editor for the first time while i'm working.
the external editor keeps up running.
what more details are needed? ....
regards & thanks

Next LIVE Update?
Hi Schildknecht,
How do you switch to Wavelab? Using the 'Edit" button on a Live clip or do you start it manually?
regards,
Alex
My question is if this also happens with any another application as the external editor?l5 freezing appears mainly when i switch to the external wave editor for the first time while i'm working. the external editor keeps up running.
How do you switch to Wavelab? Using the 'Edit" button on a Live clip or do you start it manually?
regards,
Alex

hi alex
this is what i'm doing ...
- starting live
- open live set
- selecting clip
- open sample via "Edit"-button
- edit sample/sometimes closing sample doing a batch job in wavelab
- when job done in wavelab switching back to live with "alt + tab"
- live's gui staying grey > freeze
i use no other external editor.
