Very interesting. I think it will fit well alongside my push.
Hope for a lower price though.

Love the design, hate the suggested price (around 500USD)

I like that they went with 60mm faders instead of the all too common 45mm ones.

yes, maybe your UC33e finally has a stand in, but why don't either have one horizontal fader?

I think what could have made this super cool would be some sort of LED feedback running vertical along each fader. This way you could send current position data in relationship to the physical fader position which could then be used in a pick up mode of sorts

A USB MIDI Controller Designed Like a Mixer

It's about time!
:)

Always surprised so few of these have been developed.

Makes me wonder how much more power is needed for motorized faders and if USB-power could handle it with the LED power they've got going on; it would've been a great opportunity.
If it worked in conjunction with a Redbox like Launchpads 8x8 grid then you'd have recall whenever you're banking channels.

I'd love if all the knobs were push-buttons :D

Then you could emulate the APC! In a really wild new way

for mixing and automation, not having motorised, touch-sensitive faders is a fail. the encoders look like they aren't endless either.

I was going to say, if the encoders were endless, you could use a row of them for volume (given they were connected to a remote script so the bi-directional is there) and the faders for something else. But, I personally prefer pots over encoders anyway (Well, it depends on the type of control it's linked to) and wouldn't buy a console that didn't have recall, so /shrug

I think they're addressing the issue of everything being virtualized and compacted with lots of good old fashioned knobs and faders. For the fading market of that.

This really is a pretty interesting concept. To release something dead obvious. There are so many knobs, the whole encoder thing is a lot less of an issue because you can hard assign a lot of things. Need encoders still? Grab an extra controller. Or, for those who want 32 audio channels.... maybe buy 4 of these mixers bahahaha

Considering the wish for LEDs next to the faders: What would also be nice if they could be set to meter mode, so that they display Lives channel meter values. The upper most LED should of course be red, to indicate clipping.
As Lauchpad and Push scripts show, the Midi feedback for faders already exists. So it shouldn't be hard to implement.
All in all, I think for the expexted price of around 500 bucks, it's just not nearly good enough. (IMO, and all that ;-))

For that I would definately wait for the Behringer knock off for 149€ ;-)
