Note sequencer for melodies!

Hi there! i've just got my push 2 days ago! I've watched all the Learn-push videos but there is one thing that i can't make it work is the Sequencer for melodies and chords. I'm on the default note so i can just play and record but when i press the "Note Button" nothing is happening i would like to do melodies via the sequencer mode. Any help? thank you

Have you updated to the latest version of Live??

Well i guess so! i had ableton suite and push at the same times installed both 2 days ago.

Make sure you are on at least 9.1

No it's 9.0.6 should i unstall it and reinstall with the 9.1.1 version or can i update it through the software?
