Hi all,
This may not be specifically a question concerning Ableton Live but here goes...
I need to send some simple MIDI files to a music software company. There are three MIDI tracks I composed for piano, bass and drums. I know how to export the MIDI tracks separately. What I would like to know is how to assign an specific instrument to sound for each one when I open the MIDI files with another application, in this case QuickTime.
After exporting, I open the MIDI files in QuickTime and get a generic piano sound with tons of reverb. This is ok for the lead melody line. But I also have MIDI files for Bass and Drums. I would like those files to trigger a bass and drum kit respectively when I open them with QuickTime.
Again, I am not looking to render audio via Live. Rather I would like to know how to trigger a specific instrument when I open the MIDI files in QuickTime.
Is this possible?
Thank you all!
