Hi,
I'm basically still a noob at music production. I have an MPD32 and i REALLY, really want to start using it more hands on. I want to use the pads for launching/stopping clips on banks A & B, bank C for one shot samples and D for FX triggering clips. but then there is also a problem of selecting instrument racks for macro controls. for which i thought i would use pad bank D. I basically want to stop using the mouse as much as i do. I also want to understand more on how to use the S buttons (shift i guess). I want to learn how to access sends on a particular track, how to jump to a particular return fx to control its parameters, stuff like that.
Is there anything i need to know about cc/midi messages? Because i don't know squat about that. I have been to MIDIorg, and read stuff, but not grasped it completely.
And one last thing, is the Novation Remote Zero SL Mkii a good buy?

With the zero SL you could probably set up lots of banks of Midi CCs to achieve this.billz270 wrote:Hi,

But IMO better is if you use something like Select Track Control to control the mix paramaters of each track and use the 8 macros on device racks for your FX also via STC. The Zero SL with its Automap is well suited for this as well.
There is a whole thread here on STC and wiffbi the maker of this awesome tool is usually very helpful in thread.
Highly recomended!
