I'm not the most organized person in the word. A lot of the time when I get an idea I just fire up Live and start recording without paying any attention to the track name, clip name etc. After I've recorded something that I like from a synth or a guitar I want to store it for later use. The problem with this is most of the time I started with a blank audio track and so the filename of my clip/clips are something along the lines of 0001 1-Audio-1.wav etc. A hard disk full of these is useless. Going back and manually renaming 10 files is a pain in the ass.
What I would really like is the ability to rename a bunch of tracks/filenames semi-automatically. It would be awesome if I could rename the track at the top of the column by simply right clicking and having Live batch rename the files for me right from session view.
This may already be possible. I might be requesting a feature that already exists or there could just be serious problems with my work flow. But I just thought I'd throw that idea out there. Any thought?

There are some track renaming features on ClyphX u can download from the beatwise wesbsite. Im trying to figure out shortcuts for renaming clips in live to spead up ClyphX. You will understand once you check it out.
