Not that I know of.

Ableton should have implemented Push with multiple symmetrical modes imo.

DrumRack (which syncs currently selected pads between modes)
  • Monophonic (as currently implemented)
  • Polyphonic (with Pad preview)
  • 64 Pad mode
Melodic (which syncs currently selected pads between modes)
  • Monophonic (see image below)
  • Polyphonic (with Pad preview)
  • 64 Pad mode (as currently implemented)

Agreed, there are 64 pads on the Push and we are still forced to only use 16 pads when inside a Drum Rack...boo!

Does this clyphx action help you?
PUSH DRINS

Causes Push to enter the standard Note Mode. This is useful in
cases where you’d like to use Note Mode to control a Drum
Rack. This will have no effect if the selected Track is not a
MIDI Track.

Yeah, no doubt. I also own PXT for push, but I haven't reinstalled it as of the latest update. Just tired of working with 3rd party scripts. I want it to just work.

In the meantime try having fun with what is already implemented. Or are you blaming the tool?

That's too bad for PXT, but clyphx is a different thing entirely. Once you start using it, you will find things in your general Live workflow, that can be made a lot easier (or even possible) by having clyphx installed. In this regard it should be compared rather to M4L.

(Yes, I know M4L is more powerfull, but it's also an extra program that has to run and it's a lot harder to learn how to use as well)
