MIDI clock sync problems
Hi,
I've posted this in the beta bugs section of the forum but I think that part of the forum is going to be locked soon so I'm transferring to this part. I'm not spamming the board, honest!
I have Live5 sending out midi clock to a Korg ElectribeSmkII. After various tests, it looks like I need a sync delay of -25ms. If I set this whilst Live5 is playing, the Korg becomes in sync and everything sounds great. However, on next playback, it's out of sync again and I need to set the sync delay by a further -25ms to, say, -50ms. Is this a bug? I know the sync delay options in Live5 are different to v4 but I'm setting it up for the correct output (I've checked and double-checked!).
Everything works great in v4.1.4.
I then tried something else; I connected a Korg ER-1 and used MIDI thru to connect the ElectribeS.
I set the sync delay to -25ms again and the ER-1 always stays in sync yet the ElectribeS has the exact same problem (and therefore isn't even in sync with the ER-1 even though it's on the same cable!). This could sound like a Korg problem BUT it all works perfectly in v4.1.4.
Has the MIDI clock code changed since v4? I really need this to work!
Anybody else experienced similar problems?

Ok sorry, here my setup-
Computer: Powerbook 1.25, 1GB RAM, Mac OS X 10.3.9
Midi-interface: Motu Micro Lite, Audio-interface: Mackie Onyx 1220 + firewire.
And a tr808 with midification that won't go in sync with Live. Everytime i restart the delay is different than before, from 5ms-250ms everything is possible but its never the same when i restart.

As I wrote in http://www.ableton.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=23976 ,
we just wait until my teammate Eduard is back from vacation to look at this potential problem. Meanwhile I just want to gathering all needed facts.
regards,
Alex

MIDI sync problems (v. 5.0.1 and v. 4.1.4)
Hello everybody!
Also Problem here.
Setup:
Motu Firewire 828mkII (MIDI-Clock) ->
-> M-Audio Midisport 8x8/s ->
-> Roland MC 307 (Slave Mode)
I need a MIDI-Clock offset by -75ms
1) MIDI-Clock offset=0ms
2) hit play -> out of sync
3) turn MIDI-Clock offset to -75ms (while still playing) -> plays nicely in sync
4) hit stop and play again -> out of sync, MC 307 plays 75ms to early
5) turn MIDI-Clock offset to 0ms (while still playing) -> plays nicely in sync
6) hit stop and play again -> out of sync, MC 307 plays 75ms to late
7) goto 3)
...
...
...
This problem occurs in versions 4.1.4 and 5.0.1

audio setup
try changing your audio, not midi setup. it helped me with the same problem (1.8Ghz 768Mb ram, SB live5.1, mikroKorg, Korg electribe sx1)
