Is there a way to save live projects with the samples embedded in them permanently? I've noticed that though various transfers of harddrives and stuff that a lot of my old live projects have samples missing, and ultimately I've completely lost the song. Theres been other times where I've had to manually tell Live where the sample files are located. I'm keeping all my files on the same HDD.
Is it possible to save and embed them directly into the live .als file so that there always there no matter what (i.e, so the computer doesn't have to search for them?)
Saving samples permenately within a project?

open ableton and go to file, scroll down till you see "Collect all and save." Thats it !

The above is right, but...
Read Managing Files and Sets — Ableton Reference Manual Version 9 | Ableton, esp. section 5.6
... your .als file has to be inside a project folder. That is where the collected samples will be stored.thegreatupski wrote:IIs it possible to save and embed them directly into the live .als file so that there always there no matter what (i.e, so the computer doesn't have to search for them?)
