So I set up my focusrite pro14 to be the main output source for my macbook.
Instead of downloading certain sound bits and/or samples from the internet, turning them into .wavs and importing them, I found out you could setup the Saffire mix control to process whatever sounds are playing through the computer, and then set the routing/loop back to DAW1 and DAW2.
This is supposed to create tracks in ableton that have recorded whatever is being played through the computer, and its doing that, but with one major issue:
When I go to listen to what has recorded, it is completely silent....the green bars even jump as if something is muted, but i cant figure out how to make the sound come out. The track itself has soundwaves that correspond to what was recorded, everything looks right, but i play it back and just get nothing.
Anyone know whats going on?
Issues recording with Saffire Mix Control & live 8.2.8

During record the track has to be muted in Live or you'd get a pretty nasty feedback, since DAW1/2 in MixControl are the the virtual route for EVERYthing that goes to the Main output.Heuge wrote:When I go to listen to what has recorded, it is completely silent....the green bars even jump as if something is muted, but i cant figure out how to make the sound come out. If your track's not muted by the track activation knob (the one with the track number down in the mixer section of Session view), its Monitoring may be set to Off. - Is, perhaps, your I/O section hidden? - activate the little yellow round I/O knob at the bottom right of the Sessin View screen - next to the master track.

Not sure I follow, total shot in the dark. Is the saffire mix control muted and or volumes down on a particular channel?
