If a Bitwig forum is filled with posts about how to get it working with Linux, then it will an absolute yawnathon.

do i have to install that as root?

all you have to do is open a command line and...

using bash you simply... invoke the PDC command.

Everytime I hear the word Bitwig... this song plays in my head.. it is kind of distracting when you're trying to be creative and make some music, so I'm sticking with Ableton for now.

Where’s is everybody on Bitwig today? It’s been a literal minute and I want to be up to date on the latest consensus.

Hopefully they will be organized and add a sub-forum for Linux. Dealing with 3 versions will get confusing.

When I hear the word Bitwig, I think of Wuthering Heights by Kate Bush, and the TV show Bewitched. Some sort of witchy stuff. Dunno why. Maybe imagining some old witch saying, "My name is Bitwig. Heh, heh, heh." Kate Bush was an interesting mix of hot babe and witchiness. Very much an anima figure for men, in terms of Jungian psychology.

What does the word Bitwig mean, BTW? It's such a meaningless name to me. Maybe they should have called it Babe-leton.

While we're about it, where did Ableton get its name from? It sounds like such a British word, not German at all.
