Live Automatically Pitch Shifting Songs?

Here's a problem I've never had before. I recently downloaded 8.4.2 and noticed that any song I import (with warp - off) is automatically pitch shifted. Sometimes it's up, sometimes it's down. This even happens when previewing a track prior to opening as a track. Anyone had this issue?

Anyone? I should add that this is happening when I import mp3 and wav files. It never happened before I installed 8.4.2 so I'm wondering if it's happening to others that have updated.

This has happened to me many times. Usually it's because I switch to another pattern on the same channel, when the previous pattern was in the middle of a pitch bend.

I put the 2nd part on it's own channel usually to fix it.

Sorry I read your question wrong. That I have never experienced. Pitch should never switch if you aren't warping. Though, I believe ableton will automatically warp files in the browser when you are previewing them to your master tempo. There you may hear some pitch shifting. Still it shouldn't be that noticeable unless you are using re-pitch warp mode.

Yeah, it's a pretty noticeable difference in pitch. Typically it's one semitone down from where it should be. The funny thing is, when I view the pitch in Live it's normal and set to '0'. I have to increase it to +1 to get it to sound right.

Maybe something happening with or to the sample rate...

Sounds like a crazy problem! Only tests I can think of would be to change overall sample rate on OS, mess with sample rate options in Live and on soundcard after reinstalling drivers... anything you can think of... see if anything happens...

Never had this issue until I installed Mac OS Mavericks and then Live 8.4.2

Anything I import as far as songs (unwarped) is automatically transposed down 1-2 semitones. Completely ridiculous.

Problem solved. In Live preferences, sample rate was set to 48. I changed that to 44.1 and everything seems to be working fine now. The install of 8.4.2 must have had the default at 48. Whew... At least it's working now. Is 44.1 the usual setting? I admittedly don't have much experience with sampling rate. I'm using a Saffire 6 usb interface.
