Build your own instruments
Build your own instruments
Build your own instruments _ Not sure how but maybe some kind of open architecture like max msp or max msp runtime engine installed with live (I know thats going a bit open source but hey it would be a nice feature)
Can you sequence Reaktor With Live
Can you intergrate reaktor with live and record midi from reaktor??

The only thing I miss from reaktor is the possibility of exporting an ensemble as a vst(i) so it'd be faster to insert it. I don't know why they don't add this feature when there is other software that can do that like synthedit, synthmaker or pluggo.
Cycling's Pluggo is a good alternative and I've read that the last version can send midi to the host too.
Time for midi plugins!

Re: Build your own instruments
you know... you can already build your own instruments using the simpler... in a sort of modular way... get a waveform from somewhere... or make one in a wave editing program... tweak the simpler parameters... add fx...boyinabox wrote:Build your own instruments _ Not sure how but maybe some kind of open architecture like max msp or max msp runtime engine installed with live (I know thats going a bit open source but hey it would be a nice feature)
it kinda becomes like a wavetable synth of sorts....
and now in live 5, you can save it all as a preset...
it's all there people, just use it!

If they did that they'd sell abotu 0.1% of the copies that they do now, as a not insignificant number of Reaktor-users (not to mention Reaktor Session users!) hardly ever edit ensembles..yannxou wrote:The only thing I miss from reaktor is the possibility of exporting an ensemble as a vst(i) so it'd be faster to insert it. i think that's not the point. they could sell the reaktor session licence to allow running vsts made with reaktor. like you need to install pluggo in order to use vst made with pluggo, only that cycling releases the player for free (i think).
it's a matter of usage. how many times do you open a song with a reaktor and the ensemble is missing? don't say if you use more than one and you're not a bit organized...
Live has done a great advance in this side by allowing groups of devices to be stored as a preset. It's a pitty that only Live devices can be added in these groups.
cheers!
