Hi there
I felt drum rack doesnt work very well. When I put bass drum on it, sometimes sounds different from what preview does.I get kind of clicky sound and sound hasn't enough punch and low end while preview is very clean and boomy.Although played with decay and release but couldnt get that boomy sound and pop/clicky sound is still there.

Re: Drum Rack and Poor quality
Clicks usually go away when you turn the release all the way up.
By default, when you throw a sample into a drum rack, the volume is set to -12db. Are you sure the lack of "boomy"-ness isn't just that your cue volume is louder than the simpler volume is?

I did what you said but it doesnt work again. I can drop a compressor to bring the subby part of the kick up but the sample actually sounds nice at preview. I uploaded the sample,I would be thankful if you do some testsinfernal.machine wrote:Clicks usually go away when you turn the release all the way up.

After dropping your kick sample onto an empty drum rack pad, double-click the pad to open the device view (if it's not already open), which will contain a Simpler Instrument with your kick drum sample in it.
In Simpler, below the sample view, and all the way to the right, you'll see parameters that control the velocity (vel) percentage and the volume of your kick sample. The volume is what @infernal was talking about.
Make sure velocity (vel) is at 0.0% for your kick drum sample.
Then change the volume from -12 db to -6 db. Is it loud enough now? If not, change it to -4 db. Still not loud enough? Change it to 0 db.

Re: Drum Rack and Poor quality
Thanks guys! I think I got the point. Although The sample was a clicky one, the volume of the previewer was almost low, then kick sounded punchier and without any click .
On the other hand when i bring the volume up,it loses his sub area and became more distorted.Should I more concern about how loud I am than how quiet I am or vice versa ?
