Hi
I´m getting a new mac(will be a mini this time) so my question is, what will be the best procedure to install Live8+9 + the library.
Can I transfer all files/sounds/program etc from my Time machine back up? or is there another way to do it? Anything to avoid?
Experiences, thoughts and does and don´ts are very welcome.
Thanks

My migration path might be slightly different from yours in that my library lives inside dropbox but that's a detail
- Time Machine did *not* work for me - I had a conflict between the user names on the two computers. I just used an external hard drive.
- Install live, copy your user library over, then set the path in preferences. Same with your sets, then add in user places.
- Also don't forget to migrate any packs.
I had a problem with malfunctioning M4L devices, had to reinstall M4L
Enjoy the new mac!

Time Machine does work for me, you just need to restore your User directory and Ableton Library.ringo kid f wrote:Hi

Btw, I would suggest you to wait a while because there is a chance mac minis will be updated this year.
